Product Warranty

Alumina Haus Pty Ltd (“Alumina Haus” or “the Company”) warrants that its premium aluminium fencing products are free from manufacturing defects for a period of fifteen (15) years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance.

If, within the warranty period, a manufacturing defect becomes apparent and is reported to Alumina Haus in accordance with the claims process outlined below, the Company may, at its sole discretion, elect to repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of the defective product on a pro-rated basis over the remaining life of the warranty.

Important Notice: This warranty does not purport to restrict, modify, or exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any related or complementary legislation as in force and amended from time to time. The Customer’s rights and remedies arising from this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under any applicable law.

This warranty specifically covers:

Reporting Timeframe: Customers must report any defect in the products within fourteen (14) days from the date the defect became apparent. Time is of the essence for warranty claims.

To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide clear photographic and/or video evidence of the defective product, along with a detailed description of the issue. All claims must be submitted via email to warranty@aluminahaus.com.au.

Claims must include:

Alumina Haus will review all claims and respond within fourteen (14) business days. The Company reserves the right to request additional information, inspect the products on-site, or require an independent assessment in certain cases.

Product Inspection: Products where a warranty claim is made must be left in the state and condition in which they were delivered until Alumina Haus or its authorized agent has inspected them. Such inspection will be carried out within a reasonable time after notification of the claim.

Proper Care Requirement: Alumina Haus will not accept warranty claims for damaged or defective products where the customer has not maintained proper care and maintenance of the products as outlined in Section 6 of this warranty. Customers may be required to provide evidence of regular maintenance.

This warranty is subject to the following conditions:

The Company’s liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund as determined at Alumina Haus’s sole discretion. The warranty specifically excludes coverage for freight costs, labour expenses associated with removal or installation of replacement products, personal injury, loss of income, consequential damages, or any other indirect losses arising from or caused by defective products.

Customer Cost Responsibility: The customer acknowledges that additional costs incurred in connection with warranty claims, including but not limited to labour costs for product removal and reinstallation, freight charges, and site access costs, will be borne by the customer.

Commercial Use Limitation: If the products are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use or consumption, Alumina Haus’s liability for any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law is limited to, at the Company’s discretion: (a) the resupply of the products, or (b) the payment of the cost of supplying the products again.

This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by:

MANDATORY MAINTENANCE – WARRANTY VALIDITY DEPENDS ON COMPLIANCE

To maintain warranty coverage, products MUST be cleaned at minimum every six (6) months, or more frequently in coastal, industrial, or high-pollution areas. Failure to maintain products according to these requirements will void the warranty.

Standard Maintenance Requirements:

Important: Evidence of neglect, including excessive dirt buildup, salt accumulation, or lack of basic care, may result in warranty claim denial. Alumina Haus reserves the right to assess maintenance compliance through visual inspection.

Alumina Haus products are powder coated to meet AAMA 2604 specifications, which provide excellent resistance to colour fading and chalking. However, all powder-coated surfaces will experience some degree of colour change over time due to UV exposure and environmental conditions. This warranty covers excessive fading that exceeds AAMA 2604 standards (Delta E > 5 units) when products are maintained according to care instructions.

Minor colour variations between product batches, natural weathering, or fading within industry-accepted tolerances are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.

All Alumina Haus products are manufactured to industry-standard tolerances of ±3mm. Variations within these tolerances are acceptable and do not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty is provided in addition to other rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law and does not limit or exclude any statutory rights you may have.
